Nursing is a noble profession. Doctors may have more skills and competencies compared to nurses when it comes to the practice of medicine but nurses normally spend more time with patients and in a lot of instances will provide the most human interaction and will build bonds with the patients. Like doctors, certain conditions require special skills from nurses. Organ transplant patients go through certain conditions that require a special type of care. Clinical transplant nurses can provide that special care. The International Transplant Nurses Society is a special kind of organization that deals with this type of nursing care.
The ITNS
The International Transplant Nurses Association is dedicated to providing training, education, interdisciplinary networking and research in the field of clinical transplant nursing. It is focused on promoting excellence in the said field by equipping its members with the needed skills. The ITNS was founded in 1992. It is the first organization of its kind designed for nurses who are caring for patients with solid organ transplants. The ITNS is set to conduct its Transplant Nursing Symposium in partnership with one of Orlando, FL trade show displays companies to provide trade show rental booths for the said event. From its humble beginnings and its headquarters in Chicago, the ITNS has become a well-respected organization for transplant nursing care and it has members all over the world.
The ITNS Symposium
The ITNS Symposium is a regular event that allows its members to link up and come together for several days of talks, education, training, and exhibit. This years’ theme is Reflection of Transplant Nursing Excellence. There are several reasons why nurses should attend this event. First, past symposiums have high approval ratings from its attendees and this year will not be any different. More than 90% of the attendees of previous ITNS symposiums agree that the event has allowed them to be better equipped in handling patients of solid organ transplant procedures. It has also given them more knowledge and they are more confident in dealing with such patients. The ITNS will also feature exhibit booths as provided by one of Orlando, FL trade show displays providers. These trade show rental booths will feature plenty of things about the ITNS and from sponsors who are relevant to the ITNS and its members. Along with those things, there will also be experts and researchers providing talks. These talks will be filled with information relevant to the practice of solid organ transplant nursing. This is in line with the purpose of the ITNS to give continuous learning opportunities for its members and the attendees in general so that they can use it in the future.
The International Transplant Nurses Association Symposium will be held on June 24 to 26, 2017 at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. This event is a must for nurses who would like to get additional training and expertise in handling solid organ transplant patients and for those who are looking to add to their credentials.
