Sacramento is a hot spot for conventions and trade shows, which means you should be looking into how you can be a part of them. This beautiful California city is sunny, bold, and so much fun. It’s no wonder it’s a great place to visit for trade shows and events.

While you’re in Sacramento, you can spend time enjoying shopping, nightlife, delicious foods, and so much more. The Sacramento Convention Center is a top choice for trade shows.

The center has more than 240,000 square feet of space available, and there are at least 2,000 hotel rooms within walking distance.

About Sacramento

Sacramento has just the right mix of fun nightlife, retail therapy, and delicious foods available. If you prefer quiet walks through a museum and visits to the spa, you can find those too! There are so many great things just within walking distance of this convention center.

It’s also a quick trip to the airport, so you don’t have to spend hours driving back and forth. In fact, it generally only takes about 15 minutes to get from the convention center and nearby hotels to the Sacramento International Airport. Even with heavy traffic, you should be there in less than 30 minutes.

Sacramento sees a lot of sunshine all year long. The winters aren’t terribly cold, although sometimes they’re a little damp. Sacramento is known for having mild winters and warm summers.

There are tons of lodging opportunities. Apart from those 2,000 rooms within walking distance of the convention center, there are at least another 2,000 rooms within just three miles. And that’s just one small part of the city!

You’ll also find fantastic dining from food trucks to champagne bars, and amazing restaurants like Dawson’s Steakhouse, Ella Dining Room, Capitol Garage, and other tasty stops.

Of course, there are other nearby convention centers as well, with similar accommodations and access. There are multiple hotel convention spaces, as well as the Memorial Auditorium, which are also top choices for conventions in this area.

Sacramento Convention Center

The Sacramento Convention Center is the largest in the city, and in 2019 and 2020, the center underwent massive renovations and substantial expansion.

The center just reopened in the spring of 2021, and it’s an impressive sight to behold. There’s added space, meeting rooms, and more so that shows would be able to be bigger and better. It’s now known as the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center.

In addition, the Sacramento Convention Center is GBAC-STAR accredited thanks to their renovations and sophisticated approach. We haven’t even begun to see their full capabilities yet with those changes.

The site is absolutely stunning, with the best technology to make any convention utterly amazing. More than 160,000 square feet is designed to accommodate exhibits for any convention or trade show.
